Here's a few basic answers to some questions that may be on your mind:
1) WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? Seriously? You're asking what you should wear? I don't know, I'm not your mom..wear something clean. No nudity allowed so wear something. Okay, if you're seriously asking then we'll seriously answer, "we don't care - pretty much anything's good". Let's face it - some of you are trying to meet that special someone so you're probably going to come all "dolled up". We're looking forward to that.
2) WHAT'S THE FIRST THING I SHOULD EXPECT TO EXPERIENCE? Okay, that's more like it. We advertise 7PM as the starting time, and that's when we actually begin. But for you "I-really-need-to-be-doing-something-productive-and-task-oriented" types, let us warn you fairly; the first hour or so is simply for meeting a friend and deepening connections with the group. There's almost always going to be food (yes, we're shameless), music playing, pool, fooseball, RockBand...you know, the usual. So come at 7. Chillax, meet a friend and enjoy yourself.
3) YOU'RE NOT GOING TO WRITE DOWN MY NAME, PHONE #, EMAIL AND EVERYTHING ELSE ARE YOU? Yes, we are. Because this whole thing isn't about just having a neato Friday night from time to time. It's about really connecting. It's about spending time together and getting people involved in the community, in the church, in a life that's bigger than just "me, me, me". But don't sweat it; we're not selling your info to ebay or anything and we're not going to force anyone into anything. We just want to stay in touch.
4) OKAY, SO IS THERE MUSIC? Absolutely. Of course we'll have some canned tunes going from time to time but we're also gonna make sure the live thing is happening, too. Don't expect any face-melting, 40-piece symphonic rock ensemble or anything, it's going to be kept simple on purpose. Think Dave Matthews for Jesus. It'll be tasteful and thoughtful and worshipful because this is a major part of our connection with God. It'll be songs you can sing whether you're here or alone on a mountain top. Does anyone actually do that?
5) AM I GOING TO BE THE ONLY NORMAL ONE THERE? Maybe by your definition. Actually we all have our own standard of normal, don't we? Seriously, though, there's all kinds of different people here - you won't have any problem finding someone you can hang out with. Take it from me, some anonymous person typing on the internet, you'll like the people here - at least some of them. 
6) WHAT TYPES OF SUBJECTS ARE ADDRESSED? AND HOW? You'll find that we spend quite a bit of our time discussing the things that are already weighing on your mind; relationships, finances, sex, career choices, preparation for marriage, making wise choices, and so on. And the way we look at these issues is rarely the same. Open forums, Q&A panels, small group discussions, case studies, guest interviews and guest addresses are just a few of the ways we plan to tackle some of the most vital questions that are burning in your mind.
7) DO YOU EVER HAVE STUFF GOING ON OUTSIDE OF A FRIDAY NIGHT? You betcha. Check in here from time to time (or call, email, catch us on Facebook or MySpace, etc.) and you can jump in on all kinds of stuff; camping, frisbee golf, barbecues, community service projects, road trips, golf tournaments - you name it and we're probably up for it - as long as it doesn't involve yodeling or argyle socks.
8) DO YOU HAVE ANY CHILDCARE FOR PARENTS IN THE GROUP? You know, we sure don't. It's not that we don't like kids or anything - or that we want to exclude parents (some of the coolest people you'll meet here have spit-up on their clothing) - we just want to keep this ministry as streamlined as possible. It's only once a month so splurge, get a sitter, and have a bang-up time without the gorgeous little bundle(s) you left at home. You'll thank us later.
